SRC is proud to present its first recording with a full cavalry band. The tradition of the Life Guards (the senior regiment in the British Army) is by its nature full of wonderfully evocative ceremonial music. This selection includes all the music particularly associated with this fine regiment and a number of its trumpet calls, the latter played on Cavalry Trumpets. In addition, we have music by present and former Directors of Music. Major David Cresswell, the Band’s DoM, has restored some real gems, including the Horse Grenadiers March and the long-forgotten Life Guards Quadrilles.
